NEW VILLAGE INCOME TAX
Effective July 1st, 2010, the Village of Thurston has enacted
a municipal income tax of 1%.

Thurston receives Neighborhood Revitalization Grant!!!
This grant consists of several projects for the Village of Thurston:
Sidewalk & Fence Improvements - $70,000 (replace sidewalks on Main St., install ADA Ramps, install fence around cemetery)
Street Sign Improvements – $19,000 (replace street signs and traffic signs throughout the village to bring to new state code)
Storm Drainage Improvements - $83,800 (replace/repair certain storm sewers in the area)
Water Meter Replacement - $137,200 (replace a
large portion of the aging water meters throughout the Village,
and repair the water pits)
Separately, we were also approved for a Playground Equipment
Grant (almost $24,000) to replace aging equipment in front of the Municipal
Building.

The
Safety Committee and Service
Committee will meet on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month at
7:00 p.m.
The
Finance Committee and Rules
Committee will meet as necessary.
Meetings will be posted at least 24 hours in advance.
