Warren Simpson – Absent
Ed Vanek - Present
Kevin Ety – Absent
Rita Leiendecker - Present
Mary Barber – Present
Aaron Reedy – Present
The purpose of this special meeting is to discuss the
incomplete issues with the Long Street/Wilson Ave and Third St. projects. Several residents were present.
Mary said she had a list of open issues with the projects
and pictures to back them up. Mary and
Diane Derringer from ME Companies had met before the meeting to review the work
in person. Tom Mayle (the contractor for
Long St.) was supposed to have shown up, but he didn’t.
Diana said she had a list of open issues that she will
photocopy and give to the contractor. It
was agreed that we’ve given them the benefit of the doubt for too long and they
are blowing us off.
Residents said some of the catch basins are too high. Wondered who’s at fault there, the contractor
or the engineer? Diane said they have to
go back and check.
Ed said we need to get our Solicitor involved and that the
engineers need to check their plans.
Terry Prather asked about easements. He said there were none, but told there were
temporary easements. Diane didn’t know
about that.
Aaron suggested contacting the Solicitor to start legal
proceedings against Tom Mayle & Son, but also that the residents start
calling him and bugging him. His phone
number is 740-551-2731.
Diane went over the list of open issues. Council and residents discussed some details
of the issues and added a few more notes.
Ed made a motion to have Aaron contact our Solicitor to
begin whatever legal proceedings necessary to force Tom Mayle & Sons to
complete the uncompleted/inadequate work.
Roger second. All yea.
Ed made a motion to adjourn.
Rita second. All yea.
Respectfully Submitted,
