The meeting was called to order by Lowell @ 6:35 P.M.
Roll call: Lowell Hite, present; Bev Reese, present; Laura Clark, absent; Aaron Reedy, present.
Visitors: Mary Barber, Mayor; JoAnn Hite; Keith Flynn
Bev made a motion to approve the July 2005, meeting minutes. Lowell second. All yea.
Bev made a motion to accept the July 2005 Financial Statement. Lowell second. All yea.
Lowell questioned why the bill from TCCI was higher than normal. Aaron said he will call and find out.
Keith Flynn, 8088 High St., Act # 110, was present and said his water bill has been extremely high. He hired a plumber to check for any leaks, and there were none. He also had a couple other people check – and there’s no problem. Says his bill is 2 – 3 times more than what the bill is for a normal family of four. He believe he has a meter problem because he’s watched the numbers flip, and they flip wrong. Lowell said he would check it out and if there’s a problem, he’ll replace the meter. Keith said the shut-off is tomorrow, and he is asking the BOPA for an extension – and not to turn off his water. He said he would pay on August 17th. Bev made a motion to allow Keith to pay on August 17th, since there is probably a problem with his meter. Lowell second. All yea. Aaron will notify Michelle.
Lowell said to have Michelle draft a letter to the residents of the trailer court informing them that their water meters are their responsibility to maintain. He wants to review the letter before she sends it out.
Lowell said to have Michelle draft a letter to Jack Berry instructing him to drill a hole in his basement wall so an external meter can be installed. This has been requested in the past, but no action had been taken.
Lowell said the water bill from Baltimore was twice as high as normal. It has to be wrong, so he called them. They are checking on it. We’re not paying the bill until we get it corrected.
Bev made a motion to adjourn. Lowell second. All yea. Time-7:15 P.M.
Aaron L. Reedy, Clerk
