Laura made a motion to approve the October 2004 Financial statement. Bev second. All yea.
BOPA reviewed memo from Michelle regarding Deanna Yost. BOPA decided to give Deanna Yost a credit in the amount of $100.76 due to bad meter readings.
Linda Marcum was present to discuss her bill. She didn’t think it was right to charge her a reconnect fee – she said she wasn’t disconnected. She also said she thinks her meter needs to be checked for accuracy at her current home – says it seems high for two people. The BOPA reviewed the notes on the Marcum account that had been left by Michelle. According to the notes, she was shut off on July 19th, and reconnected on July 20th. Linda said Michelle was on vacation – how could she know? Aaron pulled out the documentation from that week since he processed the billings that week.
His documentation showed that Linda had not paid her account until after Monday, July 19th at 8:00 a.m. – but did so sometime before Tuesday morning, July 20th @ 8:00 a.m. This was because his shut off list included Marcum. And Tuesday’s fax to WCSD said to turn her back on. Discussion continued regarding the facts of whether she was truly shut off or not. Discussion ensued for quite some time with Linda leaving the building. After more discussion, Bev made a motion to refund the reconnect fee of $30.00 to the account; since we can’t prove one way or another if it was truly turned off. Laura second. All yea.
Bev asked about the status of the raises for the BOPA. Remarks were made about the Council and others getting their raises right away. Aaron said he still hadn’t heard back from the Village Solicitor.
Laura said she and her husband now own the house they live in. Aaron will update the deposit records so that she is eligible for deposit refunds according to the guidelines.
Bev made a motion to adjourn. Laura second. All yea. The time is 8:25 p.m.
