Meeting Minutes

August 20, 2002

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Roll call:  Lowell Hite – Present; Bev Reese – Present; Laura Clark – Present; Aaron Reedy, Clerk – Present

Bev made a motion to approve the July 2002 meeting minutes.  Laura second. All yea.

Laura made a motion to approve the July 2002 Financial statement with corrections.  Bev second. All yea.

Bev asked Lowell about the water meter for Mark Evans.  Lowell said he hadn’t been in contact with Mark yet.  The bottom apartment is rented but Mark hasn’t said anything.  They only have two meters and one of them is on Bev’s property.  Bev wants to know what we can do about it.  Lowell said he has to let us inspect his plumbing.  JoAnn said we could take him to court.  Bev said let’s do it.  Lowell said his meters aren’t right, and we need to replace them.

Lowell announced that there was a water leak on his side of town.  He brought a backhoe in, and they had to repair two lines.  Couplings had come loose over time.  The cost for the repair was around $1,000.

Lowell announced that a chlorine pump at the pump house quit working, and that we needed to order a replacement.  A new one like the old would run about $270.00.  If we need to order valves, they are around $5.00 a piece.  Aaron will issue a PO once Lowell knows how much he wants it for.

Lowell said they got the water into Bob Keck’s house.  They’ve used 6000 gallons in less than a month.

Lowell announced that the operator at Walnut Creek Sewer District quit.  They’ve got two applications for the position.  Our water system has to be covered by a licensed operator.  Right now we’ve got none.

Bev made a motion to pay bills and adjourn.   Laura second.  All yea.

Respectfully Submitted,

Aaron L. Reedy, Clerk
