Meeting Minutes

February 13, 2001

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm.

Roll call:  Brenda Mathias – Present; Lowell Hite – Present; Rose Robertson – Present; Aaron Reedy, Clerk - Present

Rose made a motion to approve the January meeting minutes.  Brenda second. All Yea.

Brenda made a motion to approve the January Financial statement.  Rose second. All Yea.  Aaron forgot to transfer the money to First Debt account for January, but will show up in February statement.

Wendy Cooper sent a letter saying she is moving by February 28, 2001.  She wants her deposit applied to the bill and her payroll check from Council applied to her bill.  Aaron will cut the payroll check tonight so we can get her to sign it over.

Board discussed what a reasonable amount of time would be to extend for past due amounts.  The shut-off list was reviewed.  Brenda made a motion that when a “red-tag” amount is not paid in full; we will “red-tag” the customer again showing the amount still due, and that it must be paid within five (5) days.  This only applies to amounts of $10.00 or more.  Rose second.  All yea.

Lowell brought up the budget required by Farmer’s Home.  The figures were reviewed.  Rose made a motion to approve the budget for submission to Farmer’s Home.  Brenda second.  All yea.

Board discussed water bill from Baltimore.  It was for $9.00.  Lowell took it back and told them about it.  They checked and said the meter has been broken.  They’ve been estimating for the last two to three months.  They made a corrected billing by hand (estimated) and gave to Lowell.

Discussed the letter dated January 19, 2001 to Cheryl Kincaid regarding her past-due amount.  There has been no response from Cheryl.  Issue will be tabled until the March meeting.  We may possibly have the solicitor send her a letter, and look into the possibility of posting past due accounts on the Village website.

Brenda made a motion to pay bills and adjourn.  Rose second.  All yea.  The time is 7:40p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Aaron L. Reedy, Clerk
